A 46-year-old woman developed haemolytic anaemia after ingesting an intentional overdose of zopiclone.
The woman ingested 50-100 zopiclone 7.5mg tablets and, 1 hour later, presented to an emergency department. She was lethargic with a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 14/15, a BP of 134/73mm Hg, a respiratory rate of 14 breaths/min, a pulse rate of 81 beats/min, an oxygen saturation of 98% and a temperature of 36°C.
