The United Nations Digital Library, made available by the United Nations’ Dag Hammarskjöld Library in May 2017, provides freely available access to record details and, where available, full-text of a variety of United Nations’ documents and publications. Access is available by the direct link, https://digitallibrary.un.org/, as well as from the United Nations’ home page (www.un.org) after selecting one of the six official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish), scrolling to the bottom of the page, selecting Resources and Services, then Library and finally United Nations Digital Library.
Information about the United Nations Digital Library is available from the Dag Hammarskjöld Library research guide at http://research.un.org/en/digitallibrary. This guide is not easily found by searching within the Dag Hammarskjöld Library research guides, but using the search “about un digital library” in Google provided the URL.
While access is freely available, it is useful to create an account to provide more functionality including saving searches, creating alerts and using “[…] collaboration tools: creating baskets; adding items to baskets; moving items between baskets; sharing baskets within groups or to the public”.
