Gender Dysphoria is a complex phenomenon wherein an individual experiences varying degrees of distress over a perceived incongruence between one's sense of gender and one's biological sex. Though this phenomenon remains relatively rare, it has received considerable attention in recent cultural skirmishes over public restroom use and locker room etiquette.
