En esta editorial se discuten: el proceso de revisión sistemática de literatura (SLR) y el método de selección del tema. Adicionalmente, se presentan y ejemplifican las razones para realizar revisiones de literatura, y se caracterizan los tipos de preguntas comúnmente usados en una revisión sistemática de literatura. Desde lo práctico, la justificación de la necesidad de revisión y la formulación de las preguntas de investigación parecen ser tópicos bastante complejos para muchos autores. Espero que la síntesis y los ejemplos presentados sirvan de orientación para nuestros autores para escribir mejores revisiones de literatura.
