Abstract

The study investigated the relationship between work-family role salience, work-family conflict and satisfaction with work and family. Data were collected from 202 married working couples with a structured questionnaire. Family salience was significantly and positively correlated with work salience and work-family conflict. Both family and work salience was correlated with work satisfaction. A negative correlation was found between work-family conflict and work satisfaction and between family-work conflict and both work and family satisfaction. Regression analysis results showed a significant main effect of family role salience and family-work conflict on both work and family satisfaction. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
