Right to privacy has not been defined under the constitutional provisions as the fundamental right but the Apex Court has given wider interpretation to Article 21 of the Indian Constitution to include the Right of Privacy as the integral part of right to life and personal liberty. The right to privacy is derived from the English common law which states that "Every man house is his castle". It guaranteed the person from any kind of the unwanted interference in his life by public in which the public is not necessarily concept of right of privacy in India and ever growing need to maintain and preserve the privacy of the persons.

Whether it is the infamous Kareena - Shahid Kiss or the unfolding of the mystery of corruption in the political Scenario by Tekelka or the circulation of certain titillating MMS (the DPS School clip, RiyaSen - Ashmit Patel clip & various many); the question is what is the limit of entering into the private domain of the other? In other words, where the line should be drawn between the public interest and the Right to Privacy. With the coming of electronic revolution in the form of computers, mobiles and cameras it seems as if the intrusion in one's privacy is unstoppable and there is little one can do to prevent it. Isn't it a clear show of law's slip?
The speed and scope of transmission in the virtual world is very high. Anything out of everything and everything out anything can be created and transmitted in 'no time'. Thanks to the coming of the technology like Blue tooth and Infrared which are used much for the purpose of the abuse, and at the end of it someone's life, reputation or morality is put on stake. The right to privacy is again clearly the victim.
What is the stand of law on it? Why can't the law stop this trespass? Isn't there any remedy to it? Well, take a breath, as surely there are certain safeguards but it is only that the law hasn't evolved to the extent the technology has and that is the hurdle in preventing the invasion on one's 'Right to Privacy.
