A new 6km x 300mm diameter nitrogen gas pipeline installed at Corus steelworks in Scunthorpe, UK has been protected with Winn & Coales' Densoclad 70 Tape (Plate 2). It is an addition to the existing trunk line from the nearby BOC site and will carry nitrogen gas at a pressure of 7.5 bar for a variety of uses on the Corus site.
Contractors for the project were Grimsby Pipework Engineering.
