A 44-year-old woman developed delirium, psychosis and visual hallucinations during treatment with pregabalin for neuropathic pain. The woman, who was diagnosed with neuropathic pain due radicular compression and a lumbar herniated disc, started taking pregabalin 150mg [route and initial frequency not stated]. She still reported pain after 7 days. Her pregabalin dosage was increased to 300mg daily. On the third day, she developed irritability, psychosis, visual hallucinations and an acute confused state involving spatial and temporal disorientation [duration of treatment to reaction onset not clearly stated], Pregabalin was withdrawn, and the woman's mental state improved after 24 hours.
