Abstract
In October 2002, he returned to the Detroit area and to William Beaumont Hospital as a Consultant Cardiologist and Division Chief of Nutrition and Preventive Medicine--where he remained until August 2010, when he became the Chief Academic and Scientific officer of the St. John Providence Health System, also in Detroit. In February 2014, Dr. McCullough joined Baylor Scott & White Health as Vice Chief of Internal Medicine at BUMC, Chief of Cardiovascular Research of the Baylor Heart and Vascular Institute, and Program Director of the cardiovascular disease fellowship program at BUMC. Currently, he is chair of the National Kidney Foundation's Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP), the nation's largest community screening effort for chronic kidney diseases.
