Abstract

Ways of expressing the Individual's feelings, thoughts, dreams and wishes by writing pass the winning the writing skills. Applications made by teachers to impart these skills are very important. Authorship and Writing Skills Course was introduced as elective courses in the 2012-2013 academic year. In this study, teachers' views and practices in line to gain writing skills in the course being investigated. The research is a qualitative case study design. The research working group consists of ten teachers working in Kayseri and giving Authorship and Writing Skills Course. The data obtained from the samples through interviews was evaluated with the content analysis method. After obtaining the views of the teacher in writing; each teacher's written expression are coded. It reached the sub-category and category from the encodings. According to the findings obtained from this study: Most of the teachers is seeing the self-expression and development of writing skills as the aim of course. Coming from various backgrounds in terms of experience and content knowledge, teachers have various practices in process of developing the ability to write. As well in the study, it has been determined different applications In the course of the testing and evaluation.
