A 3-year-old girl experienced hyponatraemia, hypotension, altered mental status, peripheral oedema, somnolence, supraventricular tachycardia, prolonged P-R interval and T wave inversion following olanzapine overdose [Rexapin].
The girl presented to the emergency department following an accidental ingestion of olanzapine 20mg tablet, which was prescribed to her mother. Tests revealed low BP, tachycardia, respiratory rate 22 /minute and spO2 95%. The Glasgow Coma Scale score was found to be 10-12.
