Abstract

The early ambition-fulfilled-to succeed in the competitive world of plastic and reconstructive surgery. "Outstanding in terms of his knowledge and his skill," adds Norman Waterhouse, craniofacial plastic surgeon at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, UK, and a friend and colleague of Kelly. Another colleague, consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon Adam Searle of London's Royal Marsden Hospital, describes Kelly as a big man, but also a shy one; someone who hated wasting time and tried to use every moment productively.
