Abstract

In light of the above, the objective of this study is to make an approximation to the main actors and the main trends in research on collaborative virtual environments in MOOCs. For this, a five-stage bibliometric analysis was used in which the indicators of quantity and quality of the publications of the main investigative actors were analyzed. The results show that the main research trends are oriented to the topics of collaborative learning, computer-assisted collaborative learning, higher education, online courses, gamification, social networks and peer evaluation. Keywords: Collaborative learning, collaborative environments, Mooc, online learning, virtual environments 1.Introducción Las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación han revolucionado el campo educativo, transformando la forma en que se aprende y se enseña (Vázquez-Cano et al., 2021), dando origen a un conjunto de sistemas integrados que, dependiendo de su alcance, pueden ser diseñados con el propósito de suministrar información, herramientas y recursos, tanto a estudiantes, como a profesores, mejorando y facilitando de forma significativa el proceso de aprendizaje en su conjunto (BorreroPuentes y Alcalá-Zarate, 2020; Doumanis et al., 2019).
