The Isle of Wight NHS Trust will remain in special measures after the healthcare regulator found that significant problems persist about patient safety, nearly two years after concerns were first raised. 1
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) said that, despite some improvements since the trust was first placed in special measures in November 2016, further significant improvements to the quality of its services were needed. In January 2018, inspectors examined all core services at the trust and rated it inadequate overall, also rating it inadequate in safety and leadership.
