Abstract
One of the most discussed problems of industry is noise pollution. A number of powerful machinery make noise in the industry sector and can cause plenty of diseases for people working in this sector.
An experiment has been conducted in the territory of the company 'Energy of &Scaroniauliai'. An assessment was carried out applying noise measurement equipment MS6700. Modelling was done using the modelling program IMMI. A cartographical map of noise was produced and the measures of modelling results were compared. Difference in modelling and measuring results was in 0-4 dBA, range 0-7.8 %. Such discrepancy could be caused by other noise pollution sources that are not included in the settings of the programme IMMI, etc. transport.
Modelling results were compared with hygiene standard HN33:2007; however, they do not exceed the established standards, and thus this noise pollution does not have influence on human health. Nevertheless, we need to choose appropriate means for protecting people working in this industry territory. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
