Abstract

The editors are the director of the Office of Genetics and Disease Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Muin Khoury), a professor of medicine at the University of Washington and member of the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Genetic Testing (Wylie Burke), and the program director of the Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications Program of the National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institutes of Health (Elizabeth Thomson).
