The FGDC Federal Geographic Data Committee: National Geospatial Data Clearinghouse is a collection of over 250 spatial data servers containing metadata primarily for use in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It is a large web site with five distinct areas within FGDC: Alaska Geographic Data Committee (AGDC), NOAA Coastal Services Center (CSC), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Eros Data Center (EDC), and ESRI, Inc. Most of these areas have language links for English or Spanish. The USA and International web sites are associated with the clearinghouse, but not all states or countries participate. There are ten pages of detailed information.
The Clearinghouse Registry is updated periodically, some on an hourly basis. There are pie and bar charts with nodes and 18 pages of topic specific information. The web links cover many areas such as topographic maps, atlases, aerial photographs, archaeological reports, national parks, historical maps, land maps, DLG maps, Earth...
