ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to demonstrate how the contingency approach, a modern management approach, can be implemented in school management and what are the factors that influence implementation by examining the application areas. In this regard, this research is important in that it can be seen that the success of leadership behavior in school management depends on highly diverse variables and that they can be aware of how successful they can be. It is also thought that this study will contribute to the scientific researches to be carried out by using the approaches of situationalism in school management. The situational approach brings the feature of being the leader of the organization manager. Managers guide innovation and advocate self-improvement. Management includes employees and other conditions in the process. Advocate that the best way of management can vary from person to person and from time to time. These aspects can provide the school management with the necessary update. This research was conducted using qualitative research method. The results obtained from the literature search were collected by document analysis method.

1.INTRODUCTION
The school which is a social education institution; The educational relationships among the members of the society are the doctrines (Başaran and Çınkır, 2012, 19). The duty of the social education institution (Başaran and Çınkır, 2012,17):
o Ensuring the socialization and culturalization of the members of society,
o To prepare for social changes,
o To develop social relations,
o Equipping every member of the nation with production competencies.
As the needs of society increased over time, they became groups, organizations, diversified and branched for their purpose. Organizations that have co-existed for the same purpose have shifted to competition in order to protect their interests while not being independent of other organizations, influencing others and influencing them. Therefore, in such an environment, every organization needed a management to sustain its existence (KSÜ Journal of Social Sciences Vol: 13, No. 2, 2016). The school, which is a social education institution, can continue its existence by using various management models like other organizations.
