Edward O. Wilson has been named the 1997 recipient of the William Procter Prize for Scientific Achievement, Sigma Xi's highest award. He will deliver the Procter Prize address at a banquet on Saturday, March 8, at the Fairmont Hotel in New Orleans.
Dr. Wilson is Frank B. Baird Jr. Professor of Science and Curator in Entomology of the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University.
