EVERY year, all the veterinary students who undertake a two-week extramural studies (EMS) placement at a Dogs Trust rehoming centre are asked to write a report highlighting one aspect of their placement. The authors of the best reports are then invited to an awards ceremony at which a winner is chosen. This year's ceremony was held during the BSAVA congress in April.
Paula Boyden, Dogs Trust's veterinary director, explained that, in 2015, 43 students had completed placements at the charity's eight rehoming centres across the country.
