A 59-year-old man developed "vin rose" discolouration of urine during therapy with deferoxamine.
The man had a history of sickle cell disease, which required blood transfusions very often causing haemosiderosis-induced cirrhosis. This was managed with large volume paracentesis and oral iron chelation with deferiprone. His ferritin level was 3058 ng/mL. He presented...
