Abstract

Additionally, the research facility at University of Cambridge, the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre, has been undergoing investment and refurbishment, and access to its imaging technology has been greatly restricted for the past year. For Menon, characterising physiology is imperative to change the course of treatment failure because of the heterogeneous nature of brain injury. The joint recipient of a global health grant (with Peter Hutchinson, Professor of Neurosurgery at Cambridge) to study neurotrauma epidemiology and outcomes in low-income and middle-income countries, Menon hopes to apply these strategies to TBI treatment outside of Europe.
