This three-volume reference work is composed of around 500 entries on people and topics relating to America's continued (and seemingly increasing) polarization in the realms of politics and social engagement. The editors of this set, as they did in the 2010 first edition published under the title Culture Wars: An Encyclopedia of Issues, Viewpoints and Voices (RR 2010/256), define the term "culture wars" broadly.
