Changes in size and symmetry of the hip flexor muscles during the football season

Abstract

Methods: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was used to scan their hip and pelvic region at the start and end of the football season. Muscle asymmetry in the hip flexor group could affect hip joint biomechanics and function, and may lead to increased susceptibility to injuries.
