The publishers claim that this book represents an innovation in dictionary publishing, and although at first sight it invites comparison with the Reader's Digest Oxford Complete Wordfinder, which appeared in 1993 and is also a dictionary-cum-thesaurus, there are certain differences between the two compilations.
