Wondering where to get a manuscript published? Cabell's Directory, a listing of over 400 journals and periodicals that fall under the broad heading of "management and marketing," could be very useful. (Another directory published by Cabell lists journals in the areas of accounting, economics, and finance.) Its avowed purpose is to "help people publish their manuscripts." I think this directory can be an excellent resource for the proverbial author in search of a journal.
Information concerning each journal is organized in the following seven sections:
* Editor information including how to reach the editor;
* Circulation data, including a description of the journal's audience, how frequently it's published, its circulation, and its sponsorship;
* Publication guidelines including the nitty-gritty details of manuscript length requirements, how many copies to submit, and computer diskette format;
* Review process information including how many reviewers are involved, whether the review is done blindly or editorially, the acceptance rate, and how long it takes to get the word after you've submitted your manuscript;
* Topics published by the journal;
* Style guide data showing that most journals listed seem to follow The Chicago Manual of Style, Publication Manual of the APA, or their...
