The topic of business fraud should have gone away as a popular concern with the reforms of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Unfortunately, fraudsters who try to game the system continue to appear in the news. It seems like fraud is not going away any time soon, so a book summarizing the most frequent types of financial reporting fraud is a useful addition to the library of antifraud professionals.
Business Fairy Tales: Grim Realities of Fictitious Financial Reporting fills that role thoroughly and in an interesting fashion. Well researched and thoughtful, it is never dull or boring. Everyone loves a good fairy tale, and the use of that metaphor in this book cuts both ways.
