A 60-year-old woman developed rhabdomyolysis secondary to a drug interaction between atorvastatin, omeprazole, and dexamethasone [routes not stated].
The woman, who had metastatic colon cancer, was hospitalised with shortness of breath, lethargy, myalgia and proximal muscle weakness of the extremities. She started receiving atorvastatin 20mg daily for hyperlipidaemia 6 months prior to hospitalisation. Her concurrent medications included...
