To The Editor:
Aripiprazole is a partial agonist for D2 and 5-HT1A receptors, and an antagonist for 5-HT2A. Aripiprazole is used for bipolar disorder, tic disorders, irritability, and impulsivity (Greenaway and Elbe 2009). Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) is a vasospastic condition, characterized by white, blue, and red discoloration of the extremities, caused by cold or emotional stress. Pathophysiological mechanisms of RP are vasoconstriction, increased blood viscosity, and disturbance in microcirculation. Drugs that have dopaminergic and serotonergic effects may cause secondary RP (Wigley 2014). Hereby, we report a case of 14-year-old male who developed RP after commencing aripiprazole 5 mg/day.
