A 25-year-old woman developed various toxicities following overdose with amitriptyline, pregabalin and propranolol for self-harm [amount ingested not stated].
The woman was found unresponsive by her partner. She was surrounded by open empty tablet containers of amitriptyline, propranolol and pregabalin, which was consumed in the preceding 3 hours. She later revealed to have consumed multiple packet overdose of amitriptyline, propranolol and pregabalin for self-harm intention. She was found to be in respiratory arrest by paramedics. She was centrally cyanosed and was poorly perfused. A supraglottic airway insertion was carried out and she was hand ventilated. She had a sinus rhythm at 70 bpm and her BP was 80/60 mm Hg. Her Glasgow Coma Score (GCS) was 3. Her pupil were dilated and fixed with an estimated diameter of 6mm. She was admitted to the hospital after 62 minutes of being found unresponsive.
