A 31-year-old man developed thrombocytopenia following concomitant administration of alcohol and sodium valproate [not all dosages and routes stated].
The man, who had seizure disorder and alcohol dependence, presented voluntarily for alcohol de-addiction. From the last two months, he had been receiving sodium valproate 500mg twice daily for seizure control. Examination revealed hepatosplenomegaly....
