(STF) - Disney's animated Lilo & Stitch, goes into the lab to explain the creation of Stitch, a genetic experiment from outer space who lands in Hawaii and is adopted by Lilo, a lonely six-year- old girl. MANVEET KAUR has the details.
EXPERIMENT 626 is being sought after for escaping from interstellar custody of Prison Transport Durgon. He is an ill- tempered, indestructible monster with four arms, razor-sharp teeth and superhuman strength. He also was designed in a laboratory for one purpose, and one purpose only: To destroy everything it sees.
Experiment 626 is the creation of an eccentric geneticist named Jumba who simply wants to create "an indestructible master of mayhem". Jumba's creation becomes the subject of an intense intergalactic search when he escapes from the planet Turo and finds shelter posing as a household hound in Hawaii.
He's adopted by Lilo, a spunky young girl, who renames her new pet "Stitch". Lilo is being raised by her older sister Nani (their parents died in an accident), and they are under surveillance by evil social worker Cobra Bubbles who wants to take Lilo away from Nani.
Of course, throwing the vicious Stitch into the equation doesn't help matters much - his destructive impulses are on full display as he trashes Lilo's house, among other naughty acts.
