Singer Katy Perry won't be there to enjoy it, but she will carry a hefty seven nominations into Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards ceremony at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
In addition to her music, Perry also earned nominations in film and television categories, thanks to her guest spot on "How I Met Your Mother" and her voice work as Smurfette in the animated film "The Smurfs." She is also nominated for favorite female artist, favorite song, favorite pop artist, favorite music video and favorite tour headliner.
She was originally expected to attend the show, but the singer -- who is now involved in a divorce from husband Russell Brand -- announced Monday on her Twitter page that would not be at the ceremony.
"I want to thank you all for voting for me, fingers crossed!" she wrote.
Faith Hill and Demi Lovato are among those expected to perform at the show, which will be hosted by "The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco. Among the celebrities expected to be in attendance are Ewan McGregor, Emma Stone, Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan, Elisha Cuthbert, Ellen DeGeneres, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nathan Fillion, Morgan Freeman, Adam Levine, Lea Michele, Sharon Osbourne, Ashley Greene, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Neeson.
"Glee" is the top television nominee, with six talent nominations and one show nomination for favorite network TV comedy.
