Have an idea for linking the St. Paul Civic Center to the rest of downtown in climate-controlled comfort? Want to know how to find money for your community's favorite art project? Want to see how Ramsey County plans to expand the Juvenile Justice Center across from the Minnesota Children's Museum? If so, hie thee to the St. Paul Mayor's Design Forum Saturday. More than 70 community groups, artists and design professionals will highlight their work from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium Ballroom downtown (use the 5th St. entrance only).
In its third year, the forum is becoming a lively marketplace of ideas and opinions. All those who have proposed skyway or ground-level connections to the Civic Center will be on hand showing their ideas. The cast includes urban designer Ken Greenberg and St. Paul City Council members Janice Rettmann and Dave Bostrom.
