Shack needs to get back/ Charles Shackleford, who has participated in virtually none of the Timberwolves practices, probably won't for a few more days. The 6-11 center, recovering from offseason knee and shoulder surgery, had his sore left hamstring examined by a doctor in St. Cloud Monday. Apparently, his hamstring became strained when he compensated for the pain in his knee. Shackleford, 28, a free-agent addition, last played in the NBA two seasons ago and has averaged 5.7 points and 5.0 rebounds over five seasons. He knows he has to prove he can contribute, but that's difficult to do from the sideline. "I want to be out here," he said. "But it's best to take care of this now and be back in three to five days, instead of going out too soon...
