Jonette Christian's op-ed "Businesses exploit immigration policies" (BDN, Sept. 29) contains several inaccuracies.
The DREAM Act is not amnesty but opportunity for children of undocumented immigrants to qualify for federal college aid or the military and eventually attain permanent resident status. These young people have done nothing "illegal" - they hope to go to college and-or serve in the U.S. Brought up in the U.S., they attended school and developed aspirations alongside their student peers.
