VICTORY in the annual "Petit Le Mans" race at Road Atlanta last weekend in front of a record 100,000 crowd earned Allan McNish yet another American Le Mans Series record.
The Scot, along with Italian co-driver Dindo Capello, claimed a record seventh LM P1 class win of the season - six of them outright race victories - when the already crowned ALMS champions steered their diesel-powered Audi R10 TDI to a four-lap victoryin the gruelling 1000-mile race.
The win also earned Audi their seventh consecutive annual "Petit" race victory, with the R10 TDI chalking up its seventh win in seven starts since making its debut earlier this year at the ALMS opener at Sebring in March.
