ALLIANCE president Matt McCarten is taking a list of demands to MPs this coming week, as party leader Jim Anderton backs away from confrontation.
Top of the list will be revamping the coalition management committee, to ensure the Alliance differentiates itself from Labour more -- one of Mr McCarten's main goals throughout the standoff of the past two weeks.
He will also require a turnaround from the seven MPs who have redirected their tithes -- 10 per cent of their salaries -- away from the party account.
And he will seek protection for parliamentary staff, after five party workers at Parliament were locked out of...
