WELLINGTON City Libraries is replacing its 11-year-old computer system by spending $2.35 million on more user-friendly, web-enabled technology.
The new system will be Microsoft Windows-based, and Wellington City Libraries manager Jane Hill says it will be more interactive and much easier for patrons to use.
Library users will be able to reserve books online from the library or from any Internet-enabled PC. A kid's catalogue will make finding information easier and more fun for children.
