Q: We spend part of the winter in Scottsdale, Ariz. We have visited the Frank Lloyd Wright winter home several times but now I hear the complex has opened its desert shelters to the public.
Do you have any information about the shelters and what the hours for visiting are? I would appreciate it. Thanks.
A: Yes, as of Dec. 12, the simple desert dwellings on Taliesin West's 600-acre site are open to the public on a limited basis. Tours are offered through April 15 on Saturdays only at 1:15 p.m. The cost is $25 per person, and reservations are suggested.
