Disertacija pored detaljnog pregleda teorijske definicije regionalzma (od strane raznih naučnih oblasti) sadrţi analize i tumačenja savremene novele izabranih autora.

Prvo poglavlje rada prikazuje definisanje teorijske osnove regionalizma iz aspekta istorije knjiţevnosti i iz aspekta drugih naučnjih disciplina, kratak retrospektivni pregled značaja regionalizma u istoriji maĎarske knjiţevnosti u Vojvodini (istorija kulture, kulturna antropologija, sociologija, politologija).

Drugo poglavlje rada obuhvata interpretaciju problematike mitologije grada i kulturnog pamćenja u maĎarskoj knjiţevnosti u Vojvodini, kulturno-istorijske aspekte savremenih novela. Treće poglavlje prikazuje kako se promenjuje jezik kratke proze pisanih u inostranstvu za vreme balkanskih ratova devedesetih godina, ali teme su vezane za ovaj region.

Četvrto poglavlje sadrţi proučavanje interkulturalnih veza i etnokulturalnih stereotipa u novelama izabranih autora.

U petom poglavlju prikazuje se virtualni svet i digitalizacija današnjice u novelama.

Sadrţaj šestog poglavlja je sinteza, rezime gore navedenih tema.

Cilj istraţivanja i očekivani rezultati su da čitanje i interpretacija novela iz novih intertekstualnih aspekta dovešće nas do otvaranja novih interdisciplinarnih dimenzija u analizi savremene kratke proze.
