Abstract

As the digital world evolves, emerging online platforms have become essential tools in our daily life. However, their rapid expansion has spurred an unprecedented increase in the generation, storage, and transmission of sensitive data. This increase has cultivated a challenging environment, teeming with security vulnerabilities and privacy risks. Our research addresses these challenges, delving deep into the vulnerabilities and privacy issues inherent in these platforms’ protocols and services. The study casts light on potential weaknesses embedded in the design and implementation of various online platforms, aiming to expose flaws susceptible to malicious exploitation. Parallelly, the investigation delves into privacy concerns linked to diverse services and platforms. Particular attention is given to assessing the compliance of privacy policies and detecting covert data collection practices. The aim is to refine our understanding of privacy risks associated with emerging online platforms and to foster more privacy-conscious solutions. By tackling the multifaceted dimensions of sensitive data risks, this research aspires to contribute to a safer and more privacy-respecting digital environment. The study underscores the pressing need for enhanced security protocols and privacy protections, offering crucial insights and guidance for practitioners and policymakers in the rapidly advancing technological landscape.
