Abstract
How can teaching organisations be adaptable and responsive to their changing and competing environment? How can they efficiently fulfil their primary mission of sharing and producing knowledge? Literature answered by advancing the idea of a Hybrid organisational structure. In this regards, by employing a literature review and an illustrative case study on a Portuguese Hybrid teaching organisation, this work project aims to retrace and test the current knowledge on hybridity. It identifies that research with a theoretical viewpoint is abundant, however literature could be enriched with practical knowledge. This work project contributes with a management control tool for Hybrid teaching organisations.
