Abstract

90% of plastic ends up not being recycled in the US(Edition.cnn.com, 2019). That is why recycling might not be the only circular economy solution to fight plastic pollution. Loop has been created to overpass recycling by using reusable packaging and eliminating the idea of waste at the root cause. The project is collaborating with multinationals having the biggest impact in the world on plastic pollution. These companies are facing tensions along the transition process to Loop. Theresearch is going to analyze tensions and paradox in order to adress them andfacilitate multinationals adoption of a circular economy strategy.
