Abstract

The purpose of this historical novel is to recapture the life of Bathsheba, King David's lover, wife and queen, and to reimagine through her eyes the events of the reign. The method is first-person narration. Although many events are imaginary, the account is based on careful study of the Hebrew Bible, both in Hebrew and in English, and on appropriate secondary sources.
