Abstract

Ecumenical movement in Korea is more active than any other time. Jesus Korea Sungkyul Church (JKSC) and Korea Evangelical Holiness Church (KEHC) are working hard for the union of the denomination by having several joint works after organizing the Council of Evangelical Holiness Church. As a result, “2002 Evangelical Holiness Church World Mission Conference” was held at Jamshil Olympic Complex for the first time in 41 years after division on May 22, 2002. The main concern in this project is to survey the attitude of the ministers in JKSC for the union of the two Evangelical Holiness Churches.

The researcher distributed the questionnaire to 700 ministers among 1,740 ministers in JKSC and collected 379 questionnaires in 50 days. The questionnaire has 27 questions and was consisted in five different themes: causes of the division, necessity of the reunion, obstacles in reunion, methods of reunion and influence of reunion. The survey was analyzed after extracting the database. The researcher interpreted the results and concluded his study in chapter 6 with the theological reflection on this project.
