Artista e contexto reflexões sobre a essência e superficialidade na arte urbana

Abstract

A investigação denominada Artista e Contexto: Reflexões sobre a Essência e Superficialidade na Arte Urbana, trata questões associadas com o Graffiti e a Street Art, sob o prisma da Essência e da Superficialidade - que assumimos ser o argumento emergente do trabalho artístico autoral. Pela falta de documentação e (re)conhecimento geral acerca do verdadeiro conteúdo do movimento cultural e artístico, propomos a análise do mesmo segundo o seguinte argumento: a partir da noção de essência captamos as questões contextuais e basilares do movimento; e, por sua vez, através do conceito da superficialidade, levantamos as problemáticas associadas com obstáculos presentes dentro da comunidade e do circuito, - procurando determinar e demarcar o papel dos autores, das práticas e do contexto da Arte Urbana. Para tal, autores como o Schacter e Danysz, serão fundamentais para a compreensão do fenómeno Arte Urbana. O objectivo será caracterizar e valorizar não só estas formas de arte, mas também formas de vida, e toda a cultura envolvida. Além da análise dos conceitos, intervenientes e produções, será realizada pesquisa autoral prática.

The investigation called Artist and Context: Reflections on Essence and Superficiality in Urban Art, deals with issues associated with Graffiti and Street Art, under the prism of Essence and Superficiality - which we assume to be the emerging argument of authorial artwork. Due to the lack of documentation and general (re)knowledge about the true content of the cultural and artistic movement, we propose its analysis according to the following argument: from the notion of essence to capture the contextual and fundamental issues of the movement; in turn, through the concept of superficiality, we raise the issues associated with obstacles present within the community and the circuit, - seeking to determine and demarcate the role of authors, practices and the context of Urban Art. To this end, authors such as Schacter and Danysz will be fundamental for understanding the Urban Art phenomenon. The aim will be to characterize and enhance not only these forms of art, but also forms of life, and the entire culture involved. In addition to the analysis of concepts, actors and productions, practical authorial research will be carried out.
