The New York Hall of Science is kicking off a three-day public celebration tomorrow to highlight the results of its recently completed $13-million, four-year renovation and expansion project.
Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and Queens Borough President Claire Shulman, a major backer of the city's only hands-on science museum, were expected to attend the official dedication this morning at the museum in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
NASA Astronaut Ellen Baker, who is also Shulman's daughter, was also scheduled to appear, said Michael Walker, a museum spokesman.
The Hall of Science, originally built as an exhibit hall for the 1964 World's Fair, is the latest Queens cultural institution to undergo a massive renovation.
