" A consortium of wealthy Hong Kong-based investors yesterday bought control of Donald Trump's Riverside South complex and said they will soon begin to develop the first of 16 high-rise apartment buildings overlooking the Hudson River on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Coming nearly two years after Trump won city government approval for the project, the deal finally puts Riverside South in the hands of people and companies with the financial strength to begin construction. The deal eliminates a major obstacle to the project: a mortgage for three times the estimated value of the 75-acre site that was held by Chase Manhattan and a handful of other banks.
