3/8Newsday Photo by Ari Mintz-The Morris-Jumel Mansion is one of the sites in the city holding special programs this weekend. The second annual Historic House Festival begins this weekend and continues next weekend in all five boroughs. The festival, which involves 16 historic house museums, is sponsored in part by the Historic House Trust of the city.
Below are the lists of events at museums and houses in the Bronx and in Manhattan.
In Brooklyn, there are events planned at Lefferts Homestead on Flatbush Avenue at Prospect Park, at the Pieter Claesen Wyckoff House Museum, Clarendon Road at Ralph Avenue. In Queens, there are events planned at the King Manor Museum, 150th Street and Jamaica Avenue; the Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway; and at the Kingsland House, 143-35 37th Ave. And on Staten Island, the Alice Austen House, 2 Hylan Blvd., the Conference House, 7455 Hylan Blvd., and at the Richmondtown Restoration, 441 Clark Ave., events are planned either weekend.
